Building a bridge between R&D en MarketingUnilever’s R&D department in Vlaardingen (Netherlands) had intensively worked on the creation of a design process in order to develop a series of products to be sold outside Europe. The R&D department sees itself as more than a provider of technical solutions, and wanted therefore to liaise and cooperate with the internal client (local marketers) in the NPD process. Therefore they wanted to try out a new way of working together towards a solution, and were interested in the SIT method.
Participants’ feedback: The method truly works. It does something to the way you think and organise thoughts. It is interactive and results oriented. It gives structure and focus to idea generation. The ideas generated are less complicated, less far-fetched. The output is above our expectations.
Project leader's feedback: We were working for international markets, and couldn’t completely stand in the shoes of the local marketers. The great thing about this project is not only that we have delivered ready to launch ideas with accompanying visuals, but that we were able to clearly explain and trace how the ideas were originated. | Website |
